Profiles of Success
A simple email from Alex Abuyuan to Patrick Connors led to Connors finding and joining NAA® back in November of 1999.
That had to be one powerful email right? You be the judge.
It read: “How would you like to make $100,000 in the next six months?”
If you were Connors, had a wife and children, it would probably have seemed more powerful at the time.
“Up until that point, I was so broke I had to lick someone else’s fingers at Kentucky Fried Chicken,” Connors joked.
The first thing Abuyuan did was tell Connors to get into a van and drive 10 hours through the middle of the night to go to a meeting in Raleigh, N.C. where Andy Albright and Barry Clarkson were speaking. Whatever the message, Connors was on board. He came back, signed up for licensing school and got his state license in Ohio. Right out of the gate, he sold three policies.
Abuyuan ordered leads and the two dug in deeper. Before Connors knew it, he had $7,500 deposited into his checking account in the first five weeks with NAA®. Connors quit his “full-time job” on March 1, 2000 and hasn’t looked back since.
Connors, one of NAA®’s top earners, has set even bigger goals for the future. He wants to help a dozen people reach the MVP level, which will in turn help them create a lifestyle for their families they never would have otherwise had.
Who knows? Maybe one of those dozen Connors helps will get started with a simple email from him. “How would you like to make $100,000 in the next six months?”
It’s happened before and it could happen again.
